After arriving by plane we immediately started the tour around Omo Valley - no time for rest after nearly 1 days travel. We did a stop by a field of "tef". This is a crop that has been cultivated in Ethiopia nearly since the start of civilization. It has a very healthy nutritional profile, cooks well, is gluten-free and a lot of other good things. One could wonder why we would ever develop the crops we use today.
Often when you stop in a seemingly desolate place - within minutes - there will be curious people - children especially - who want's to see what is going on.
